Of course Pig! i've been following them in their discord too they are very kind and is a general effort to once and for all open source the game so we dont have to worry for people hoarding knowledge and resources of this game.
There are plans to follow up with a decomp project for PSU as well in the psu-decomp channel.
Definitvely the AI will free us all!
As usual that reddit is filled with the usual grifters but again nothing good comes out of that place sadly. Nothing new under the sun...

download the new client patches if you have the old one just replace the wsock32.dll with the new ones you have at the files area
The rarity of the rewarded item increases with difficulty but it's always a random drop.
For the best items please try in Very Hard and Ultimate

The Flow of Both Black Paper quests:
-> Use a Photon Crystal to access any monster pit
-> Defeat the monsters
-> After defeating all monsters 1 red box with the special weapon is left on the floor
-> Quest Finished
If you use a Photon Crystal and you die and you return to the City, you don't get the reward and also you lose the Crystal so be careful and bring many Fluids and Mates with you.
As for the auto announcement that appeared at the top with the Block+ Party Name + the Name of the item, this announcement was enabled only as a Special Event for x1, x5 or x10 increased rare rates on the official servers, it wasn't an ordinary system that was always enabled.
